for me, it was the fact that they sung and danced at the same time! and then got deeper into them and kpop!
edit: also when I first saw ddu-du ddu-du mv, jisoo was GLOWING!! I was so obsessed haha this was in 2021
honestly put on the the netflic documentry during covid and it developed from there.
I wasn’t new to kpop i was involved around the time red velvet debuted, but fell of around high school, but watched the documentry and fell back in. i’ve drifted a bit away now, but still listen to my ult groups.
Uh idk my first song was HYLT so the rhythm, the rapping, I didn’t even saw the video until much much later I liked them but after seeing the movie I just fell in love with their energy, the songs like honestly I liked all their songs and that surprised me and they were really pretty 😳
And then I felt down the sooya rabbit hole
The members and the music! I discovered them in 2017 with As If It’s Your Last. They are my ults since then
APT!! I technically liked Ice scream a few years back but never took the time to discover them then, and stopped listening to it for a while.
Then APT took over the world, and for some reason I dived into the BLACKPINK rabbit hole, and I’ve never looked back since. K-Pop has completely taken over my life for the better, and crazy it’s almost been a year. But I owe it all to them 🫰🏼🥹.
Ofc they make bangers and are supermodel beautiful, but it’s their personalities that really made them stand out for me. I have BLACKPINK House and Light Up The Sky to thank for that
Hearing “Kill This Love” when YouTube randomly recommended it to me in 2019, just a few days after I finally got out a 7 years long abusive relationship. It became my first step of my healing process 🥹
