So I'm dealing with this absolute bullshit situation and I need to vent/get advice.
Bought tickets to a concert through a friend who got them from someone who originally bought from Ticketmaster. The original listing said nothing about obstructed views. Get to the show and there are TWO MASSIVE TENTS directly blocking the center of the stage. Like completely blocked, couldn't see the performers at all, just had to stare at the big screen the whole time.
Obviously I'm heated so I go find staff at Citi Field. They basically tell me "not our problem, buy new tickets or call Ticketmaster." Try calling Ticketmaster during the show and get some automated message saying they'll respond in 24 hours.
So after the show I email them with photos of how bad the view was and explain everything. Their response? "Event organizer doesn't do refunds, all sales are final."
Anyone dealt with this before? Thinking about small claims court but not sure if it's worth the hassle. So annoying that they can just false advertise and then hide behind their "no refunds" BS.
Usually obstructed views means that there is something specific to the stadium’s layout that directly blocks your view. From your seating angle, I can see why they are saying not their problem. It sucks but I don’t know what course of action you have unless others also start complaining.
